What counts as a document? Each successful Generate that produces a downloadable PDF counts as one document toward your monthly quota. AI-sent or -drafted emails are counted as one document towards monthly quotas, since they use the same AI processing.

Does live preview count? No. Live preview runs locally in your browser and never uses your quota. Only a completed Generate counts.

Do unused documents roll over? No. Quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month and do not carry forward.

AI generation AI parsing is handled securely on our servers via Claude. No API key setup is required on your end.

How do I create an invoice or estimate?

Pick Invoice or Estimate in the sidebar, describe the work and line items in plain language, and click Generate. Lio uses AI to lay it out into a clean document. Review the totals and details, then download or send.

What's the difference between Base and Pro?

Base ($6/mo) includes the Invoice and Estimate templates and AI generation (100 actions/month). Pro ($12/mo) adds up to 5 custom templates, the client contact book, the Voice assistant, email delivery, and a higher limit (1,000 actions/month). Compare them on the Pricing page.

What counts as an "action" against my monthly limit?

Each AI document generation counts as one action. For Pro, AI-drafted or AI-sent emails also count as one. Your allowance resets every 30 days — unused actions don't roll over.

How do I customize my template — logo, colors, fonts?

Go to Settings → Customize. You can upload a logo and position it, set your header color and header text color, choose fonts, and adjust sizes. The live preview updates as you change things.

What is the Voice assistant?

Voice is a hands-free assistant included with Pro. Tap Voice in the sidebar and just describe the document you want out loud — the assistant builds it for you and talks its replies back. Handy when you're on a job site or driving between them and can't type.

How do I change my plan or update my card?

Go to Settings → Subscription. Use Change Plan to switch between Base and Pro, or Manage Billing to update your card, change your plan, or cancel through our secure billing portal.

How do I cancel, and what happens to my access?

Cancel anytime in Settings → Subscription → Manage Billing. You keep full access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that your plan ends and AI features pause.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your templates, contacts, and document history are retained for up to 90 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted. Export anything you need before then. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. We don't sell your data and we don't use it to train AI models. Document content you generate is processed only to produce your documents. See our Privacy Policy.

What features are coming soon?

We're actively building:

Photo to invoice — snap a photo and turn it into an invoice.
